CA Practice OS Practice Management and Return Preparation Software for CA Firms
A cloud platform for Chartered Accountant firms in India that combines practice management with the preparation and validation of statutory returns, on a single data model for each firm.
Solution Overview
CA Practice OS is a cloud platform for Chartered Accountant firms in India. It brings together the two sets of tools a firm uses today: practice management for clients, deadlines, tasks, documents and billing, and separate utilities for preparing GST, TDS, income tax, tax audit, ROC and payroll returns.
Every module writes to one data model for the firm, so figures can be checked across returns before they are filed. The product is designed for firms with 2 to 15 staff serving 100 to 500 clients.
| Client | Sales register | Purchases | Bank statement | Health score |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Client A Traders | Received | Received | Received | 92 |
| Client B Textiles | Received | Unreadable | Received | 74 |
| Client C Exports | Received | Received | Missing | 81 |
| Client D Foods | Missing | Missing | Received | 58 |
Practice Challenges Addressed
India has 98,967 firms registered with ICAI1, serving 1.67 crore active GST taxpayers2 and many of the more than 7 crore income tax returns filed for assessment year 2025-263. The Income-tax Act 2025 also came into force on 1 April 2026, introducing the tax year concept and new form numbers4.
Errors Across Returns
Desktop tax utilities validate data within one return type. A GST turnover of ₹2.1 crore that conflicts with ₹1.7 crore of business income in the income tax return may not be detected before filing.
Manual Document Collection
Client documents arrive through several channels and are filed by hand, and partners have limited visibility of work in progress.
Cost of Missed Deadlines
Changes such as the GSTR-3B hard-lock and the three-year time bar on GST returns make errors and delays harder to correct.
How CA Practice OS Works
